Our team who has championed Unimaker Regional Level of Central Region advanced to Unimaker National Level with the same project- VORA. Although they didn’t bag home any prizes this time, multiple visitors have expressed their interest in the project and the team are excited to further develop the project.
A team from the research center is shortlisted as one of the Top 10 finalist for Hartalega-organized HITCH 2018 and had the opportunity to visit Hartalega HQ and present our idea to industry professionals. The idea presented is one of the featured project of the research center: the Brain-Computer Interface Rehabilitation Arm for stroke patients.

The university, as a supporting partner of IME SolidWorks Innovation Day 2019, has held an exhibition where students’ design work using SolidWorks software are displayed. The center has sent its project teams to display their 3D design of projects such as robotic rover, robotic arm and robotic hand.
The center had two projects- the 3D-printed robotic hand and robot rover in InoTech 2018, an exhibition allowing innovative young undergraduate engineering and computing students to exhibit their ideas on recent technologies in their relevant field of engineering or computing to solve problems.
APROC is an annual robotics competition organized by IASS (IEM APU Student Section). In 2018, APCORE has been invited to co-organize this event and has sent a team to participate in the inter-varsity UniBot Challenge as well. Our team has brought pride to the research center by winning as Champion in the challenge!!
Some members of the research center has visited the 24th International Machine Tools and Metalworking Technology Exhibition and had the chance to get a closer look on new machinery and tools.
